Parish Walk 1st May 2011
Nearly 30 people enjoyed a May Day Parish Bluebell Walk. with Helland Woods carpeted in bluebells this provided a spectacular backdrop.
It was a very windy Delabole quarry as we set out and descended into the woods where it was considerably better enhanced even more so by the bluebells and new leaves on the Beech trees. We had the intention of walking around Delabole and back across the quarry again, but heavy showers made the descision for us to end the walk a little early by cutting back half way along Green Lane and along Atlantic Road and down Pengelly. We enjoyed delicious refreshments at the end provided by Hester Warman and Jen Tidd.
